The donor sources directory is developed to help you target your proposals to avoid submitting them to sponsors whose mission and funding objectives do not match those of your organization.

When you do find a match read everything you can about the potential sponsor investigate further each sponsors interests and mission.

We recommend that you check out the sponsors internet site, population that they serve and geographic focus.

The sponsor’s type of organization will determine the approach you use, make sure that you communicate your needs very clearly and try to find a middle ground when negotiating with the donor. Satisfy their needs without sacrificing your own.

• Find out what type of support the sponsor provides.
• What is the funding pattern?
•   What types of organizations have been supported before?
• Special requirements or restrictions.
• Application process formats and deadlines.

Narrow down the list to at least three to five matches of sponsors you believe will be interested in your work and reviewing your proposals.
